Thank you for your interest in employment opportunities at Klahaya Swim and Tennis Club. We are a private club located in the southern portion of Edmonds and Snohomish County. Our facilities include a 6-lane pool, 3 tennis courts and a bathhouse. Most of our employees are members of our club, but we will gladly accept and process applications throughout the year (except entry level Maintenance positions) from non-club members interested in positions. We employee Swim and Tennis Coaches, Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, Assistant Club Managers and Manager.
As the season approaches, open positions will be posted on this web page. Once an application is completed and sent into our mailing address you will be contacted by email if positions are “open” and available for an interview. Otherwise your application will remain in an “active” file for one calendar year. Upon hiring, we will submit a background check for all Klahaya employees.

MAINTENANCE WORKER - CLOSED AS OF FEBRUARY 9TH - all other applicants will be placed on waitlist
Others will be placed on wait list for possible openings.
At 14 yrs. old individuals can apply to be a Maintenance Worker. This job involves cleaning the facilities (yes even toilets), organizing supplies, and any other general responsibilities around the club. Most Maintenance Workers get between 2 to 4 one-hour shifts a week. Work period: Mid-May through Mid-September

FULL-TIME LIFEGUARD - OPEN HIRING - SUBMIT APPLICATIONS ASAP
Preference is given to individuals that have worked in Maintenance
At 16 yrs. old and having passed certified lifeguard-training, individuals can apply to be a Full-time Lifeguard. Preference is given to individuals that have already worked in Maintenance. A full-time lifeguard is guaranteed 20 hours (usually more) of work a week. There are also opportunities to be a substitute guard, but those hours are NOT guaranteed.
Work period: Mid-May through Mid-September

APPRENTICE LIFEGUARD - OPEN HIRING
On a limted basis we accept Applications for Apprentice Lifeguards
At 15 1/2 yrs. old and having passed certified lifeguard training, we accept applications for Apprentice Lifeguards. These apprentice lifeguards will assist with lap swim and gain on the job training from an experienced lifeguard.
Work period: Mid-May through Mid-September

As a lifeguard SAFETY is the number one concern. Other duties include member sign-in, organizing office area, possible swim lesson instructor and other responsibilities around the club.
